Save Their Souls
=================
(I)
“I’m hungry. I’m dying. Pain is striking my bones, let alone my soul.” A small boy died before he had strength to say these words. On the sun burnt African land, many children still feel chill. They try to struggle against famine and disease. But everything is in vain. These innocent souls are at the mercy of cruelty. Mothers died of AIDS. Fathers were killed by war. It’s so hard to live. Why do they deserve death?
Their eyes are dry because they have no strength to cry.
Their faces are numb because they have no strength to feel.
They should have never been born.
They don’t dare to expect for milk, meat and bread. Mud, mouse and grass is alright.
“if only I could turn into a bird. Yes, a bird can have enough to eat. Heave knows why I can’t survive.” The boy lay down on the ground. He’s too weary to open his eyes. He’s to be free once for all. He won’t suffer from living any longer. He’s glad to leave. He gives a desperate smile.

Give me a pair of wings. I will fly to the wounded. I’m a volunteer to light up some souls.
Whenever I learn about their hardship, I feel upset. An inexpressible feeling chokes me. It’s a strong compassion. Tears come to swim in my eyes. (来源:英语杂志 http://www.EnglishCN.com)
I hate to believe they’re born poor, hungry and sick. I wanna make a change for their living conditions. But I have neither fame not fortune. All I can offer is just some love and care.
I wanna tell them they’re not ignored. Let them know lots of strangers care about them.
I wanna make them trustful. Fate is in their hands.
Love shouldn’t be selfish. It’s not their fault to be disadvantaged. It’s ungracious to be cold and blind. Some great friends dedicated to the cause of efforts and contribution. You don’t have to risk your life. Just show your heart of gold by what you can. Staring at the collection box, my heart flies to SOS children’s village,
I’ll bring sunshine to their deep souls. Let them know they’re not born to hope against hope, they’re not looked on as the doomed.
I’m not happy when I see so many brothers and sisters of my age far from happiness.
I’m not content when I see the eagerness for education in the little girl’s big eyes.
It’s our mission to bring them a better tomorrow. It’s a true bliss to share their laughters.
Mother’s love is the greatest. She cares for all her children without prejudice. A country of grace and liberty can’t abandon her citizens simply because they’re backward and poor.
I don’t believe that all men are created absolutely equal. I approve of competition. The fittest, the living. However, the chances are supposed to be equal.
People’s fate should be in the hands of their own, not the natural environment, nor man-made grounds. We live beneath the same sky. Is your baby’s life any more precious than other’s?
Diana was beloved not because she was the princess of Britain. Her popularity owed to her noble mind. She called out to the world and whispered to those in pain. She came with her heart and tried to bring awareness to people in distress.
Martin Luther was a hero. He had given thousands of people the strength which he possessed in large measure--- the strength to love others. He never gave way until he paid the highest price.
My friends, I trust your integrity and kindness. I know you won’t shrug off what I’ve said. How do you envision the brand-new century? Do you foresee this world through rose-colored spectacles?
Mr. History has taught us that with the development of human beings, poverty and disease are hard to kill. Peace is sill the most valuable. No matter what will become of this globe, remember that it depends on you and me to create hope and harmony.
My friends, when you’re surrounded by prosperity, when you enjoy your beautiful life, have you thought of somebody’s grief and misfortune? Have you tried to water their souls of desert, to paint their pale lives?
